Always a pleasure

Tips:

The little Riverbank gallery by the bridge in Newlyn has interesting work away from the usual landscapes & seascapes. Similarly the Cowhouse Gallery at Perranuthnoe and Summerhouse Gallery at Marazion.

You were very helpful if you were needed. We enjoyed how your dog took the opportunity to visit us! The information file was very useful. Being so hot it would have been useful to be able to open the the windows.

Tips:

We bought a booklet to follow a trail about the artists who had lived in Lamorna, it was excellent. The events we attended at the Literary Festival were excellent. The Penlee Art Gallery - and cafe -! were excellent Weekly Wednesday coffee mornings at the church hall in Paul were very friendly and welcoming.

A truly lovely cottage and wonderful owners. The cottage had everything we needed, the outside space was perfect for our dog and the location was beautiful. We didn’t want to be in a town centre, and waking up every day with those views was perfect.

Tips:

If you have a dog, waking on Longrock beach was perfect. It’s dog friendly all year round and costs £1 to visit (or free in the late afternoon/evening) and it’s just other dog walkers

Thanks for your reviews. It is a difficult balance getting all the equipment that could be needed. So, sorry about the steak knives and larger mugs. We generally get great feedback about how comprehensive the kitchen equipment is but it will always be a personal issue and we obviously got it wrong for you.

Castallack is so peaceful and tranquil, that we always end up coming away feeling as if we'd been there longer. Nick and Rachel (as always) looked after us well and the cottage (Tremerth) was lovely.

Tips:

The local pottery at Lamorna, does a great cream tea. It is of course a great place for walks - coast path and also inland are also well worth doing.

A lovely quiet and secluded location. Ideal for exploring the South West corner of Cornwall. A tip would be, if weather is inclement and cool in September, for the Heating to be turned on. It would be much appreciated. Flowers and Cake and Milk were lovely, thanks to Nick and Rachel.

Tips:

Tolcarnne Inn, The Meadery Newlyn, very good. Parking near to Tolcarnne Inn reasonably priced. Penzance and Marazion are great for a retail shop. Mousehole very nice, and a trip to Sennen Cove.

A well thought out cottage ,kitchen well equipped and lounge a delight with a wood burning stove. Heating was adequate throughout. A porch area outside the entrance door to the kitchen would have been very useful for leaving wet boots when raining. Good walking from the cottage and wonderfully peaceful location.

Tips:

St Buryan Inn served good pub grub. Lamorna Pottery makes a good coffee. Within walking distance of Coastal Path and short car drives to access the Cornish tin mines both past and present. If you want to catch the Ferry to the Scilly Isles then Penzance is a short drive away to book a day trip.

A wonderfully quiet location with countryside all around, and only the birds in the trees to be heard, and lovely sunsets too. The Tremerth is a very well equipped cottage and very comfortable and clean. Nick and Rachel are very friendly and helpful, and provide a lovely welcome with a vase of daffs and a delicious lemon drizzle cake, with a pot of tea waiting for you! Would fully recommend as it is far from the madding crowd, but within easy striking distance of facilities and options for days out. Brilliant choice for a short break or a longer holiday.

Tips:

St. Michaels Mount and the beach at Marazion are a must. Lovely walks. Lots of local artists, with galleries of paintings and other crafts to visit and support. We much preferred Newlyn and Mousehole to St. Ives, which we found to be very built up.

23rd August 2015:

Lovely to be welcomed personally and the tea and homemade cake was much appreciated.

Tips:

Lamorna Wink well worth a visit. Avoid Gino's Spaghetti House, next to the Queen's Hotel in Penzance at all costs. National Trust Penrose, near Helston offers lovely walks but not well signed.

Very friendly hosts. An ideal location for exploring the west with so many laces within easy reach.

Tips:

Day trips to the Isles of Scilly, Treingwainton Gardens and Cafe are excellent. Perranuthnoe and Porthleven are interesting to visit both with excellent eateries.St Ives is within easy reach and we would recommend using the Park and Ride facility.

31st May 2015:

Lovely place with a friendly reception and beautiful views.

Tips:

Walking around the area is fabulous, although note the harbours at Lamorna, Penberth and Mousehole are no accessible to dogs at any time. Front Room cafe in Penzance is fabulous with very funky decor, great food and they allow dogs in the garden.

Wonderful stay - the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and to help you settle in. The cottages are well appointed with every conceivable aid to self catering living!

Tips:

Becks fish and chips on the road through Carbis Bay has a nice restaurant as well as takeaway facilities. Penzance is well provided for by three enormous supermarkets, Morrisons at Long Rock; Sainsburys and Tesco along the A30 route into town. Out towards Newlyn you will find a Co-Op and Lidl, but of course the fun is in finding local farm shops and produce. Trevaskis Farm shop out near Connor Downs is a magnificent example and has a restaurant attached, for superb breakfast, lunch or dinner!
